Clever Little Goose is an independent software studio. We believe software is at its best when it is small, purposeful, and treated as a patient craft rather than a race for growth.

We build one thing at a time and finish it properly before it leaves the nest. Three tools that work reliably and respect your boundaries are worth far more than a dozen that are rushed out the door.

  GooseQuill Published

  A document transcription pipeline that turns dense PDFs into clean, structured Markdown you can search, compare, and keep. It's especially useful for statutory accounts, filings and technical papers.

  It runs locally on your computer against your own API key, keeping your documents entirely in your own care. Our first open-source release, published under the Apache License 2.0.

  Cred Count Preparing to launch

  A pocket logbook for roller coaster enthusiasts to track the coasters they've ridden (their creds).

  Your riding history, photos, and notes live directly on your phone in your own local database. There are no accounts to create, no tracking and no cloud surveillance.

  Acta Anseris Internal

  A publishing engine for versioned legal and technical documents. It derives version numbers directly from document contents, guarantees that published pages never drift from their archived copies, and powers the transparent version records across our sites.

  We built it because we needed it for our own nest. If there's interest in it, we'll publish it.

How we work

A few simple principles guide everything that leaves our nest:

• Your data stays in your nest. Our tools run locally on your computer or phone against your own storage. We don't mine it, sell it, or hold copies of it.
• Quiet & respectful. No tracking, no cookies, no analytics pixels, and no third-party scripts. This website loads everything from its own server, keeping your visit private.
• Built to last. We build software to be sturdy, transparent, and durable. Every version of our legal documents is archived openly, so nothing gets quietly rewritten.

The name, and Gordon

Gordon is our goose. He's been the heart of Clever Little Goose since there was nothing here but an idea. He keeps watch over the nest, ensuring everything we build is flight ready and done properly.

Gordon, our logos, and our brand names belong to the nest. Our open-source tools are freely available for you to use, fork, or build upon, and you are always welcome to mention us or link to our work. If you'd like to use Gordon or our marks in a way that suggests an official endorsement or partnership, just ask us first.
