Previous versions

Every version of these documents that has been published, kept exactly as it was published.

When one of these documents changes, the old one doesn't disappear. Each version below is the actual file that was live at the time — the same page, the same markdown, the same PDF — not a fresh rendering of an old draft. That distinction matters if you ever need to show what a document said on a particular day.

Versions are numbered from 1, and the number only moves when the text does. A correction that doesn't change what the document says — a typo, a broken link — gets a point release instead: 1.1 rather than 2. It is published alongside the version it corrects rather than replacing it, so nothing you may have read ever disappears.
